1980s

January 1983 Nissho Iwai Food Sales Corporation was established with a capital of 100 million yen. The headquarters was located at 1-1-6 Nihonbashi Ningyocho, Chuo-ku, Tokyo, along with the establishment of the Shimizu Office.
February 1984 The Nagoya Branch was opened.
June 1988 Following a merger with Nikyo Foods Co., Ltd., the capital was increased to 120 million yen. The headquarters was subsequently relocated to 5-23-14 Ueno, Taito-ku, Tokyo.

1990s

June 1990 The company merged with Marusan Co., Ltd., raising the capital to 180 million yen.
The company name was changed to Nissho Iwai Food Corporation, and the Sendai Branch was opened.
September 1990 The headquarters was relocated to 1-26 Kanda Sakumacho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo.
May 1993 The headquarters was moved to 17-16 Nihonbashi Koamicho, Chuo-ku, Tokyo.
July 1994 After merging with Nissho Iwai Foods Osaka Corporation, the capital increased to 280 million yen.
February 1997 The Fukuoka Branch was opened.

2000s

March 2001 The capital was increased by 750 million yen, bringing the total capital to 1.031 billion yen.
October 2002 The capital was reduced by 618 million yen, resulting in a total capital of 412 million yen.
October 2002 The Hokkaido Office was established.
April 2004 The company name was changed to Sojitz Foods Corporation.
April 2005 The company integrated with Sojitz Corporation's Food Division.
August 2005 The headquarters was relocated to the Akasaka 2-14 Plaza Building, 2-14-32 Akasaka, Minato-ku, Tokyo.
October 2009 Sojitz Foods Corporation inherited a portion of Sojitz Corporation's food-related business, including food ingredients and processed foods.

2010s

April 2010 The company merged with Sojitz Meat and Agri Corporation.
January 2011 The Hokkaido Office was relocated.
December 2013 The Hokkaido Office was once again relocated.
February 2014 The Fukuoka Branch was relocated.
July 2014 The Nagoya Branch was relocated.
May 2015 The Kansai Branch was relocated.
July 2015 The headquarters was moved to Roppongi T-Cube, 3-1-1 Roppongi, Minato-ku, Tokyo.
September 2016 The Hokkaido Office and Kyushu Office (formerly the Fukuoka Branch) were closed.
September 2017 The Kansai Branch was relocated.
